Reflection 19
For today's bellringer we defined ‘somebody’ and ‘nobody’. For the first half of the class period we dissected the poem “I’m Nobody! Who are you?” by Emily Dickinson. The poem was about how much more preferable being nobody is to being somebody. After hearing her definitions of these two terms, I’d agree with the message of her poem. For the second half of the class we dissected “Heart, we will forget him”, another poem by Emily Dickenson. Apparently, Emily Dickenson was quite the recluse. I found the brief review of Dickensons work, surprisingly, interesting.
