Reflection 5
Class went relatively smoothly today. I guess i learned the message of the poem “The Negro Speaks of Rivers”. I can’t say the lesson was any more engaging than it usually is but, it served its purpose I suppose. One of my classmates was under the impression that the term “negro” meant “ignorant black person”. I found this extremely surprising and foreign. Today’s bellringer was to write about an important moment in black history, for which I choose the George floyd protests. The media coverage of the original incident was a huge contributor to the mass of the movement.
Log 6:
I've no choice. With great difficulty, I manage to stand up. I pick a random direction and start walking, or more accurately, limping. The snow doesn’t help the situation, but I have to find something, or else I’ll die out here.
