Reflection 3

We started today's lesson with a bellringer/writing prompt, prompting us to list reasons that people read. During class we read a story called “house”. Reading this text showcased the different ways a text can be interpreted, based on what you were told to look for. Before being given any direction on what exactly to look for, a couple of the students in my class pointed out how the main character of the story would end up getting robbed. This surprisingly was part of the point of the lesson, which I found interesting. Nearing the end of instruction for today while going over informal vs. formal text, Mr. Rease asked a rhetorical question. This question however, was not answered to his liking and he was once again challenged by my class. Apparently my class is the only one that does this, challenges his views, or atleast today's view. And, though I did not directly interject, I found my classmates' gumption amusing.

Log 4:

My ears stop ringing, slowly at first, but in a moment my hearing returns in its entirety and I feel as if I'm being crushed by the weight of all that noise.
